((( Best Bars in Chicago )))

At Avenue N Guitars we take pride in knowing where to have a good time, we are rockstars on stage and off.  This Best Bars in Chicago list is straight from our staff, covering Wicker Park, Bucktown, West Town, Ukrainian Village, Logan Square, Wrigleyville and Lakeview neighborhoods. Here are some of our favorite places to have a drink…or two….or three.

The Innertown Pub is a perfect neighborhood hangout for the recently legal and young hearted. This cozy bar is located in the Ukrainian Village and open 7 days a week, even on holidays. Get lost in a rockabilly record blaring through a blown out speaker while playing darts against pool sharks. Definitely under the radar, like no website under the radar.

We at Avenue N Guitars happily give the award for Best Beer Garden in the City to Sheffield’s! If you are near Lakeview “Wrigleyville” Chicago and are looking for a bar that has a fresh atmosphere, Sheffield’s is a guaranteed satisfaction. They have four separate bar rooms giving this Wrigleyville staple a unique mini-village feel. They offer one of the largest selections of micro beers in the city as well their own BBQ, smoked to perfection. Of the best bars in Chicago to eat and drink, Sheffield’s stands on it’s own and is a must see. They also hosts live acoustic music and other worthwhile entertainment on a weekly basis.

Estelle’s is the best late night Rock and Roller hangout. Located conveniently between Wicker Park, Bucktown and West Town, they are open until 5am on the weekends and also have a great late night food menu available until 3am. Be sure to get your picture taken next to their famous jukebox…. Well it’s famous to us musicians, check it our for yourself!

Lincoln Tap Room is Lakeview’s long-standing “dive” lounge since Prohibition. This bar has always been a musician hang-out and attracts charming crew of storytellers. It still is one of the best bars in Chicago to see real, talented, Rock, Folk and Blues musicians. Avenue N Guitars very own, Trevor Pritchett hosts an open mic here every Wednesday so stop in and bring a song!

Cole’s is Logan Square’s music friendly every-buddy bar. A great place for a random hangout, Cole’s offers free weekly entertainment, featuring open mic nights, courageous stand up comedians and all styles of bands.

Small and Cozy, Handlebar is a great place for a date or to catch up with a friend. Handlebar offers made-from-scratch Vegan, Vegetarian and Pescetarian comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Efficiently equipped with a cool place to lock up your bicycle, a full service bar and an incredible patio, it is easy to find ease here. Handlebar recycles, brews fair-trade coffee, serves all organic eggs, and buys their produce from local farms so you feel full and spiritually fulfilled leaving here.

If you are in Lincoln Park Chicago and want to escape the “Bro-ness” to a happy, dark, low-key place, take a step in here. Delilah’s has tons of great beer and also has one of the biggest whiskey selections in Chicago, backed by a highly knowledgeable staff. There is always good music in the air as they spin real vinyl records! They also host Mods & Rockers, a motorcycle and mo-ped party in the summer time which we highly recommend for all.
