Are you a Musician looking for the best music venues in Chicago? Or simply a Fan looking for a good time? Here are some of our favorite places to play live and see bands!
A Rock & Roller hotspot at the core of Wicker Park. This 500 capacity Music Venue / Bar is always a good bet for a good time. Quality national & local bands, great staff and never boring. . . Even the Rolling Stones played a concert here a few years back.
A legend. The Hideout is a very reputable venue for talented artists. The bookers really do care about who they book, which unfortunately a lot of venues don’t. A regular guy bar for irregular folks who just don’t fit in, or just don’t want to fit in. They didn’t choose the name; it has been called the Hideout since it opened (legally) in 1934. Forged in a discrete spot next to the steel industry area of Bucktown / Lincoln Park. One of a kind!
The Empty Bottle has been voted the best music venue in Chicago by many music magazines/bloggers for a good reason. A very intimate place in the Ukrainian Village for live shows run by a hardworking production team. Mostly booking Indi Rock/Rock.
A great listening room! Upscale, and surprisingly intimate given it’s large size. A great gig to land in Chicago’s West Loop. They book a wide variety of Folk/Classic Rock/Blues/Bluegrass/R&B bands and solo artists.
Located near the Lakeview & Roscoe Village neighborhoods, Martyrs has one of the largest varieties of acts booking Funk/Rock/Indi/Jam and even top rated tribute bands. The stage is spacious too which makes it fun to rock out on.
